TRAFFORD, Pa. - Washington & Jefferson College men's track & field freshman Griffin Burnett (Pittsburgh, Pa./South Park) was selected as the Presidents' Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Week, announced by the conference on Tuesday (April 7).

Burnett finished with a seventh-place mark in the javelin throw with a top throw of 54.37 meters (178' 5") at Slippery Rock's Dave Labor Invitational. This mark is currently the top toss in the conference this season by nearly five feet and is eighth in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
