Five Presidents Collect All Mid-Atlantic Region Laurels from USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Five members of the Washington & Jefferson College outdoor track & field team earned recognition when All Region honors for the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season were announced on Tuesday (May 19) by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the regular season.
 
Top-eight individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-three ranked relay team.
 
The W&J women's team collected three All Mid-Atlantic Region selections by way of Claire Anderson (Jamestown, Pa./Jamestown), Sarah Schneider (Warren, Ohio/Lordstown) and Chloe LoCastro (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township).
 
Anderson earned her All-Region nod in three events including the 1,500-, 5,000- and 10,000-meter run. The now three-time All-Region selection finished first in the region in the 10k after her 34:07.20 school record time at the Bison Outdoor Classic hosted by Division I Bucknell University.
 
Anderson finished second in the region in the 5k following her 16:33.88 time ran at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships. In the 1,500-meter run, the senior distance star finished eighth in the region with a time of 4:34.27 at the Marty Goldberg Invitational.
 
LoCastro picks up her first All Mid-Atlantic Region honor following her 2026 season in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Her All-Region securing time of 11:13.10 came at the 2026 Harrison Dillard Twilight at Baldwin Wallace University to rank fifth in the region. LoCastro finished second in the event and broke the W&J program record.
 
Schneider earns her first All Mid-Atlantic Region selection after her performance in the 100-meter hurdles. The senior's time of 14.66 in the event ranked her third in the region secured at the 2026 Harrison Dillard Twilight at Baldwin Wallace. She shattered the W&J program record in the event in the process.
 
Dominic Flitcraft (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) and Nick DeSanto (Erie, Pa./McDowell) each represent W&J as first-time All Mid-Atlantic Region selections.
 
Flitcraft earned his first All-Region nod in the 10,000-meter run at the Bison Outdoor Classic hosted by Division I Bucknell University. Flitcraft's time of 30:45.67 ranks him fourth in the region.
 
DeSanto was granted his first career All-Region selection in the high jump at the Presidents Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships. The junior jumper capped an impressive season by reaching a W&J record height of 1.99 meters (6' 6.25") to finish third in the region.
