BEREA, Ohio – The Washington & Jefferson College Track & Field teams complete one final push towards the National Championships when they compete at the Harrison Dillard Twilight Meet, hosted by Baldwin Wallace University.
 
Senior Sarah Schneider (Warren, Ohio/Lordstown) led the Presidents' women's team with a school record-breaking performance in the 100-meter hurdles. Schneider opened the evening by setting a personal best in the prelims. The senior bested her previous result in the finals to take home fourth with a time of 14.66. Schneider's mark bests the previous school record by .15 seconds. This is the fifth school record that a President has broken during this outdoor season.  

In the distance events, senior Chloe LoCastro (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) set a personal best in the 3000-meter steeplechase. LoCastro finished the event in third place with a time of 1:13.10. Additionally, classmate Maria Gilles (North Ridgeville, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy) ran her way to a sixth-place finish in the 1500 meters.
 
Senior Anthony Cestaro III (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers) led the Presidents' men's team with a third-place finish in the 200-meter dash. Cestaro III ran a time of 21.80 in the event.
 
In the field events, junior Nick DeSanto (Erie, Pa./McDowell) jumped to a seventh-place finish in the high jump with a height of 1.90 meters (6' 2.75").
 
The NCAA Division III Track & Field Outdoor National Championships are currently slated for Thursday (May 21) through Saturday (May 23) in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The qualifying lists will be released on Friday (May 15).
