CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Washington & Jefferson College Department of Athletics finished among the programs listed in the 2025-26 Division III Learfield Directors' Cup standings. The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) recently released the final standings following the conclusion of spring championships in early June.

Among Presidents' Athletic Conference institutions, W&J was one of just two to finish in the Top 100 and one of seven conference schools overall listed in the 2025-26 standings. The Presidents finished 97th overall with 212 total points.

W&J secured 25 points during the fall season with the football program's conference-leading 28th conference title.

The winter season proved successful, as the Presidents tacked on 75 additional points. Men's basketball led the way with 50 points after securing its 11th conference championship in program history and then adding an NCAA Tournament First Round victory over Mount Union. The women's basketball program picked up 25 points after repeating as conference champions and claiming their eighth league title.

W&J amassed 112 total points in the spring alone. Bolstered by a pair of All-American finishes by Claire Anderson (Jamestown, Pa./Jamestown) at Outdoor Track & Field Championships to obtain 43 points and PAC crowns in the baseball (25 points) and women's golf (44 points), W&J vaulted up 23 spots in the final rankings.

The Learfield Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between NACDA and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships. Eighteen sports are counted in the final Division III standings (four of which must be men's and women's soccer and men's and women's basketball). The next highest sports (14 max.) scored for each institution, regardless of gender, are used in the standings.

W&J finished the 2025-26 academic year with six conference championships, which matches the 1994-95 and 2005-06 academic years for the most in a single academic year in school history.

Team-by-Team Breakdown:
