Box Score LATROBE, Pa. -- Kaley Burkhardt scored all 10 of her school-record goals during the first half to help top-seeded Saint Vincent earn a 18-14 victory over fourth-seeded Washington & Jefferson Friday afternoon in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Tournament semifinals at Chuck Noll Field.
The Presidents' seventh NCAA Division III varsity season ends with an 0-10 record. Saint Vincent improves to 10-3 overall and will host the winner of the Thiel-Waynesburg match tomorrow in Latrobe.
The Bearcats led 14-4 at halftime after outshooting the Presidents 26-4. SVC scored the first eight goals of the game, five of which were netted by Burkhardt.
Alex Dikos got W&J on the scoreboard with a goal at the 14:34 mark, but Saint Vincent followed with six of the next seven goals to build its large halftime advantage.
Washington & Jefferson used two four-goal runs in the second half to narrow its deficit before running out of time.
Dikos led W&J with a career-high six goals, while adding one assist for a seven-point afternoon. Harvey posted six points with three goals and three assists. She also grabbed seven draw controls.
Ashley Bulger finished with four goals and
Holly DeLoache added one.
Kelsey Roetenberg turned back 16 shots in goal.
Eight different Bearcats scored, including two from Molly Snyder, who also dished out five assists. Michelle Mitchell made four first-half saves to earn the win in goal.
