Box Score 2 LATROBE, Pa. --
Kelsey Cunningham became Washington & Jefferson College's career softball doubles leader, while also moving into second place on the program's career hits list during Sunday's PAC doubleheader split at Saint Vincent. The Presidents (10-6, 4-2 PAC) won game one 12-2, but lost a 3-1 decision in the second contest.
W&J trailed 1-0 after four innings in the opening game before exploding for 12 in the final three frames.

Emily Watson's two-run double, while
Abby Cunningham and
Jen Bahm followed with RBI singles.
Kelsey Cunningham entered the game tied with Valerie Schultz '09 on the career doubles list.
Cunningham's 40th career double started a three-run sixth. That base hit moved her past Schultz again for second place on the W&J career hit list, the 162nd of her career.
Courtney Roperti singled her in and
Madison Rotto added a sacrifice fly. Watson tacked on another two-run double during a five-run seventh inning which broke the game open.
W&J banged out 19 hits in game one. Both Cunninghams, Kelsey and Abby, as well as Bahm and Roperti had three hits.
Kelsey Cunningham scored three times, while
Sadie Marak collected two hits and scored twice. Rotto picked up her fourth pitching win in relief of Watson (2 IP, 1 ER, 4 BB, 1 K). Rotto allowed one unearned run on two hits, while striking out six.
Abby Cunningham scored her sister, Kelsey, on a single in the first inning of game two, but that was the only run the Presidents would get off of Ally Vrcek.
The one-run lead looked like it would hold up until the sixth when Becky Deane's two-out, two-run single put SVC in front. The Bearcats (16-6, 2-2 PAC) added an insurance run in the seventh and W&J was retired in order in the bottom half.
Vrcek struck out seven in the complete game four-hitter for SVC.
Krista McCartney was the losing pitcher despite striking out eight in the complete game performance.
Kelsey Cunningham upped her career hit total to 165 after collecting two singles in game two.
