Kelsey Cunningham went 5-for-9 at the plate, including three home runs, to highlight Washington & Jefferson's PAC softball sweep of Chatham on Wednesday afternoon. Cunningham, scored four runs during the doubleheader and knocked in four, hit two homers in a 6-0 win in the opener before adding another in the 11-2 triumph (5 innings) in game two.
Jen Bahm's RBI single brought in the first run of the afternoon in the second inning and Cunningham homered to left field in the third for a 2-0 lead.
Bahm's second RBI single made it a 5-0 game in the fifth and Cunningham blasted another round tripper for the final run in the sixth.
Madison Rotto (5 IP, 1H, 2BB, 6K) and
Krista McCartney (2 IP, 2BB) combined on the one-hit shutout. Bahm went 3-for-3 with two RBI, while
Emily Watson had two hits and drove in one.
Chatham (6-9, 2-6) led 2-0 after two innings in game two, but W&J erupted for three in the third, two in the fourth and ended the game with six in the fifth. Watson singled home both runs in the fourth, while Cunningham drilled a two-run shot in the fifth. Four different Presidents drew bases-loaded walks for the final runs.

Breanna Gleason and Watson all had two hits in the nightcap. Gleason scored three times and Watson gets credit for the complete game after holding the Cougars to five hits (3 K).
