Trine pitcher Bree Fuller improved to 22-1 this season after limiting W&J to four hits.  She struck out 12 in the complete game.

Carly Searles led off the bottom of the first inning with a solo home run for a 1-0 lead and the Thunder took advantage of two Presidents' errors in the second to grab a 3-0 advantage.

Kelsey Cunningham doubled to lead off the fourth inning for the Presidents' first-ever NCAA hit, but was left stranded.

The game was halted for 45 minutes in the top of the fifth due to lightning.  Following the delay, W&J scored its lone run after Madison Rotto, Jen Bahm and Breanna Gleason led off the fifth with singles.  After a strikeout, Kelsey Cunningham reached on a fielder's choice bringing home Rotto. However, Fuller struck out three in the final two innings to preserve the victory.
