Bobcats top Presidents 5-0 at Alexandre Stadium

Box Score WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Frostburg State scored just over nine minutes into the game and never looked back during a 5-0 men's soccer victory over Washington & Jefferson on Saturday afternoon at Alexandre Stadium. 

The Presidents (2-3) hung tough for the first 40 minutes; however, Chris Watson was whistled for a red card after attempting to block a shot along the goal line.  Bryan Lentine converted the ensuing penalty kick for a 2-0 advantage and W&J was forced to play with only 10 men the remainder of the match. 

Daniel Ramirez drilled home a free kick in the 56th minute for a 3-0 lead and the Bobcayts added a pair of goals in the final four minutes for the five-goal margin of victory. 

Hassan Mostafa turned back four shots to earn the shutout.  Jon Best made six saves in 78-plus minutes of action for W&J.  Frostburg State doubled up the Presidents in shots (18-9). 

The Presidents aim to get back into the win column on Wednesday night when the travel to Pittsburgh for a 7:30 pm game at Carnegie Mellon.
