MONMOUTH, Ill. -- Washington & Jefferson raced out to a 7-0 lead and cruised to a 15-7 over Carthage Friday night at Monmouth College's Pepper Natatorium.  

Sarah Latzo and Brittany Patterson both scored a pair for the Presidents, who improved their season record to 8-6.  Patterson netted a pair of goals during the first quarter in which W&J built a 6-0 cushion.  Washington & Jefferson tacked on three goals in each of the final three periods.  

Ally Hopkins made nine saves in goal, while adding a pair of steals and one assist.  

Allison Rocha and Sara Boldt both contributed two-goal efforts for the Presidents, while Rachel Clauss, Laura Travers and Elizabeth Klock also found the back of the net.
