MONMOUTH, Ill. -- The Washington & Jefferson women's water polo team wrapped up the Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III Western Round Robin weekend at Monmouth with a 4-1 record thanks to a 3-1 showing over the final two days.
In Saturday's first match, the No. 9 D-III ranked Presidents dropped an 11-6 decision against No. 6 Connecticut College before rolling to three-straight victories: 18-4 over Utica, 13-1 versus Monmouth and 19-7 against Macalester.

Brittany Patterson and
Laura Travers paced W&J with eight total goals each in the four contests. Latzo posted four goals in the finale against Macalester and three versus Utica. Patterson had three multi-goal games with hat tricks in the Monmouth and Macalester contests and two in the loss to Conn College. Travers scored in each game with three against Macalester, two against Conn College and Utica and one during the Monmouth game.
Alexandra Gartner totaled six goals thanks to hat tricks versus Utica and Monmouth.
Allison Rocha recorded a hat trick against Macalester and two goals in the Utica game for five scores total.
Rachel Clauss totaled four scores with two coming against Macalester and
Aliya Abdelhak also collected four goals, led by two in the Macalester win.
Ally Hopkins recorded 26 total saves, including nine versus Monmouth and seven each against Connecticut College and Macalester.
The Presidents will play five matches against the same teams next weekend (March 27-28) at Connecticut College.
