WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson women's water polo team defeated Connecticut College, 12-4, in its final game of the Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III Regional on Sunday afternoon, April 9.

The win improves the Presidents to 15-4 overall on the season, including a 13-1 record in CWPA games.

The Presidents scored the first four goals of the game, three coming from Liz Klock (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central), to gain the early advantage over the Camels. Both teams exchanged three goals each, giving the Presidents a 7-3 halftime lead, before the Presidents scored five of the final six goals in the game to put Connecticut College away.

Rounding out the W&J scoring in the game was Sarah Latzo (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria) and Tess O'Neill (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) who both scored one goal.

The top-seeded Presidents will get back in the pool on Saturday, April 22, when they will face eighth-seeded Utica at 10:20 a.m. in the first round of the CWPA Division III Championships hosted by Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn.
