How It Happened: The Washington & Jefferson women's water polo team trailed 11-3 after the first two quarters and was unable to orchestrate a comeback in an 18-10 loss to Grove City on the road on Friday afternoon. 
 
Top Performer: Freshman Emma Rearson (Dresher, Pa./Upper Dublin) paced the Red & Black with four goals in the game. 
 
The Rest: Fellow attackers Chloe Magyari (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) and Paige Adams (Mohnton, Pa./Govenor Mifflin) were next on W&J with two goals each. Marissa Whitby (Los Angeles, Calif./Eagle Rock) and Kiera MacWhinnie (South Portland, Maine/Waynflete School) also notched tallies.

How It Happened: W&J concluded day one at the CWPA Division III Weekend at Grove City College with an 11-6 defeat to Connecticut College. 
 
Top Performer: Whitby added three more goals to her total for the day, tying her with Rearson for the team lead with four. 
 
The Rest: Magyari, MacWhinnie and Samantha Worobetz (Mason, Ohio/William Mason) rounded out the Presidents' goal scorers with one score each. 


Date: Saturday, March 23 2019, 10:00 a.m. 
Where: Grove City College, Grove City, Pa.
Opponent: Utica College
Result: Win, 14-4

How It Happened: The Presidents picked up their first win at the two-day event, knocking off Utica by a 14-4 final score on Saturday morning. 
 
Top Performer: Rearson and Magyari both had fantastic showings, with Rearson scoring six goals against the Pioneers and Magyari tallying five. 
 
The Rest: Cecelia Weiss (Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin) picked up the win, starting in goal for the Presidents. MacWhinnie, Whitby and Kirsten Yatsko (King of Prussia, Pa./Upper Merion) also recorded one goal in the morning bout.

How It Happened: The Presidents wrapped up this weekend's action with a 14-10 setback against Penn State Behrend. 
 
Top Performer: Magyari and Whitby both finished today's nightcap with a trio of goals. 
 
The Rest: Adams rounded out the Red & Black's multi-goal scorers with two tallies. Rearson and Worobetz also ended the day with a goal against the Lions.
