GREENVILLE, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson College men's and women's track and field teams established over 30 season bests as the Presidents competed at Thiel on Saturday afternoon.
Both teams finished sixth among nine Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) institutions at Thiel.
Women
Bre Trusler (Daisytown, Pa./California) won the 400 for the third-straight meet as she clocked in at 1:00.37.
Savannah Sevacko (Crafton, Pa./Carlynton) finished second in the long jump at 4.95 meters (16 ft, 3 in) and was third in the triple jump (9.71 meters; 31 ft, 10.25 in).
Jadyn Hartner (Washington, Pa./Fort Cherry) was second in the triple jump at 9.82 meters (32 ft, 2.75 in) and was fourth in the 400 hurdles (1:09.06).
Faith Remich (New Kensington, Pa./Burrell) took third in the 1500 at 5:13.06. Remich also finished sixth in the 800 at 2:33.36.
Cassie Carr (Girard, Pa./Girard) was third in the 10K at 41:33.96.
The W&J 4x400 grouping of
Grace Kirwin (Philadelphia, Pa./Abington), Hartner, Remich and
Ali Petrisek (Ellsworth, Pa./Bentworth) took third at 4:28.86.
Anna Stroup (Port Royal, Pa./Juniata) took sixth in the 100 hurdles (17.07).
Naomi Hanna (New Kensington, Pa./Burrell) was seventh in the discus (26.98 meters; 88 ft, 6 in).
Men
Aden Dressler (Evans City, Pa./Butler) raced to a runner-up showing with a personal-best in the 1500 at 4:12.43.
Clay Yeager (Mifflintown, Pa./Juniata) took third in the 1500 with a PR of 4:15.52.
Paul Collier (Heath, Ohio/Heath) took second in the 10K with a mark of 35:47.28.
Ian Baughman (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area) established personal bests in the 400 hurdles (57.25) and 110 hurdles (16.07) to finished second and third, respectively.
Declan Fricko (New Bethlehem, Pa./Redbank Valley) was the runner up in the high jump with a leap of 1.78 meters (5 ft, 10 in). Fricko finished third in the triple jump at 11.38 meters (37 ft, 4 in).
W&J's 4x400 meter relay squad of Dressler, Baughman,
Sam Garber (Columbus, Ohio/Worthington Kilbourne) and Yeager took fifth at 3:37.34.
The track and field teams return to action next weekend at Grove City.
