BETHANY, W.Va. -- The Washington & Jefferson College track & field team saw season bests, first place finishes and school record performances Wednesday at the John Falconi Invite, which was hosted by Bethany College at Bison Stadium.
Women
Cassie Carr (Girard, Pa./Girard) claimed a pair of wins Wednesday. Carr won the 3K with a school-record time of 10:39.09. Carr also took first in the 1500, as the sophomore posted a season-best time of 5:04.23. Carr's time in the 1500 ranks as the fifth best among PAC competitors this season.
Bre Trusler (Daisytown, Pa./California) registered a pair of runner-up performances. She turned in a season-best time of 60.55 in the 400 Meters. Trusler ranks first in the PAC this outdoor season in the 400. Trusler was also the runner-up in the 200 Meters, timing in at 27.96.
Faith Remich (New Kensington, Pa./Burrell) finished first in the 800 Meters and third in the 400 Meters, respectively. Remich came in at 60.86 in the 400, which ranks eighth all-time in W&J outdoor history and No. 2 in the PAC this season in the event.
Jadyn Hartner (Washington, Pa./Fort Cherry) was runner-up in both the Long Jump and Triple Jump.
Men
Nate Sciarro (Beaver Falls, Pa./Riverside) won the Long Jump with a leap of 6.84 meters.
Jake Sinclair (Beallsville, Pa./Beth Center) and
Julian Paul (Pittsburgh, Pa./Montour) turned in outdoor personal-bests to take the top two spots in the 3K. Their respective times of 8:55.65 and 8:56.47 rank first and second in W&J outdoor history. Paul added a outdoor best time of 52.69 in the 400 Meters to finish fourth.
Ian Baughman (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area) placed third in the 200 Meters (23.96) and the 400 Meters (52.07 - outdoor personal best).
Clay Yeager (Mifflintown, Pa./Juniata) finished as the runner-up in both the 800 Meters (2:03.38) and 1500 Meters (4:13.23). Both times were season bests for Yeager. The time in 1500 Meters puts him into the top 10 all-time at W&J in the event.
Declan Fricko (New Bethlehem, Pa./Redbank Valley) placed fourth in the High Jump at 1.78 meters.
