Women's Lacrosse listed in initial set of Regional Rankings

WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson College women's lacrosse team was listed in the first edition of the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse regional rankings.

The Presidents are one of seven teams highlighted in the first set of Region IV rankings, which lists schools alphabetically rather than a true numerical ranking. The second set of regional rankings, which will be released on Wednesday, April 26, will be the first to rank the teams in each region.

W&J currently boasts a 10-3 overall record and a perfect 6-0 mark against Presidents' Athletic Conference competition. With three games remaining in the regular season W&J is tied for first place in the conference standings.

The Presidents are tied atop the PAC standings with Allegheny College, who also appears in the Region IV rankings.

Capital, DePauw, Kenyon, Mount Union and Ohio Wesleyan joined W&J and Allegheny in the Region IV listing.

W&J faced both Kenyon and Mount Union in non-conference play. The Presidents earned a marquee non-conference road win when they downed Mt. Union by a 16-15 score on April 7.

The Red and Black aim for their 10th straight win when Waynesburg University comes to Alexandre Stadium on Friday, April 21. First draw is scheduled for 6 p.m.
