WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson College women's lacrosse team was ranked fifth in the most recent release of the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Region VI regional rankings.
The Presidents are one of seven ranked teams in the second set of Region IV rankings, which was released Wednesday afternoon.
W&J currently boasts a 12-3 overall record and a perfect 8-0 mark against Presidents' Athletic Conference competition. W&J has won 11 straight games and has secured the top seed in next week's PAC Championship Tournament.
The Presidents downed Allegheny College by an 18-8 margin Wednesday to take control of the top spot in the PAC standings.
Kenyon, Mount Union, DePauw and Ohio Wesleyan are all listed ahead of W&J in the Region VI listing. Capital and Wooster come in behind W&J at six and seven, respectively.
W&J faced both Kenyon and Mount Union in non-conference play. The Presidents earned a marquee non-conference road win when they downed Mt. Union by a 16-15 score on April 7.
The Red and Black aim for their 12th straight win when they head to Grove City College on Saturday, April 29. Start time is scheduled for 12 p.m.
