WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson College women's soccer program has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2023 season. The 17-game regular season slate features 10 Presidents' Athletic Conference games.
The 2023 season begins with four straight games away from Washington. Consecutive road games versus Muskingum (Sept. 1) and La Roche (Sept. 3) highlight the opening weekend of action.
W&J then heads to the SUNY Fredonia Tournament for a pair of matches on Sept. 8-9. The Presidents face Fredonia and Oswego State at the tournament.
The Presidents open the home portion of their schedule with games against Mount Union (Sept. 13) and Penn State Altoona (Sept.16).
Three of the first four conference games are away from Alexandre Stadium, as W&J faces Thiel (Sept. 20), Chatham (Sept. 27) and Allegheny (Sept. 30) on the road. The lone home game during that stretch is against Saint Vincent (Sept. 23).
Back-to-back home games are slated for the week of homecoming. W&J welcomes Waynesburg (Oct. 4) and Franciscan (Oct. 7). W&J then steps out of conference to host Carlow on Oct. 11 to round out a three-game homestand.
W&J heads to Geneva on Oct. 14 before hosting Westminster (Oct. 18) and Bethany (Oct. 21) in back-to-back home games. The game versus the Bison will serve as Senior Day for W&J.
The Red and Black then wraps up the regular season on Oct. 25. The six-team PAC Tournament is slated to begin on Saturday, Oct. 28. Dan Dubois, who was hired as head coach in April, enters his first year guiding the program.
