The Series: Historically, W&J has controlled the all-time series with Westminster, which dates back to 1894, holding a 38-6 record. However, Westminster has won four out of the last six matchups in the series, including a four game winning streak in the rivalry from 2018 to 2021. W&J has won two straight since against the Titans, including a 48-3 victory at Cameron Stadium in 2023. Zach Cernuto (Scottdale, Pa./Southmoreland) scored three times in the first half as W&J stormed out to a 21-3 first half lead.

Notable Notes:

CHAIN MOVERS:
The W&J offense has picked up 113 first downs in the first four weeks of the season, which is third Division III. On the flip side the Presidents' defense has held opponents to just 27 first downs, which is 24th in the nation and second lowest among teams who have played at least three games.

PUGH'S PERFECTION: Jacob Pugh (Jefferson Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) has gotten off to an excellent start to the 2024 season. The senior has guided W&J to a 3-1 start, due in large part to his effectiveness throwing the football. Pugh was the PAC's Offensive Player of the Year for the 2023 season. Pugh was also named as the PAC's Offensive Player of the Week for week one. Pugh stands at or near the top of Division III in many passing categories, including first in passing touchdowns (16) and  second in passing yards (1,243).

AIR PEDUZZI: Junior wideout John Peduzzi (Hilton Head, S.C./Hilton Head Christian Academy) has produced week-in and week-out, catching  24 passes for 512 yards and six touchdowns. The touchdowns put him sixth in the nation, while the yards rank him third in Division-III. Peduzzi put up 207 yards and three touchdowns in week three against Waynesburg, as well as 112 yards and a touchdown against Carnegie Mellon the following week.

Petrisek has found the endzone twice this season, including once in last week's loss to Carnegie Mellon. Along with the touchdown, Petrisek rushed for 107 yards against the Tartans.
