CLEVELAND, Ohio – Lily Giering (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) of the Washington & Jefferson College field hockey team has been named to the 2024 All-North Coast Athletic Conference Second Team, announced by the conference Monday (Nov. 11).

This marks the second-consecutive season Giering has been announced as part of the second team all-conference.

Giering was one of the bright spots for the Presidents in a season riddled with adversity. The junior standout posted a team leading four-goal season with one assist to accumulate nine points. Giering ranked tied for eighth in game-winning goals and 20^th in the points in the NCAC.

Giering logged a near hat trick in the Presidents' 4-1 win over Oberlin with a season-high two-goal performance.

W&J finished 3-7 in its second season in the NCAC and first under head coach Brittney Randolph. The Presidents posted a 3-11 overall record.
