BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Washington and Jefferson women's water polo team fell to Salem on the road Sunday by a 19-14 score in West Virginia.
W&J would score six in the first quarter to keep things close and trail by just one, 7-6, after the first eight minutes.
Sydney Neumann (Long Beach, Calif./Millikan) would be the leading scorers in the quarter with three followed by
Hallie Ratcliff (Friendswood, Texas/Friendswood) with two and

Both teams would score three in the third quarter. The Presidents goals would come from Halle who tallied two and another goal by Ratcliff. This left the Red & Black down by six as they entered the final eight minutes with a score of 16-10.
Despite outscoring the Tigers in the final quarter 4-3, with three goals from Halle and one from Ratcliff, the Presidents were unable to pull off a comeback large enough to obtain the victory over Salem.
