BLUFFTON, Ohio – The Washington & Jefferson College women's golf team concluded the final round at the Beaver Fall Classic with a second-place finish after the 36-hole event at the Bluffton Golf Course. The team scored an identical round of 330 in round two, totaling 660 for the tournament.

Julia Barthelemy (Crescent, Pa./Moon Area) finished the Beaver Fall Classic tied for second with a two-round score of 162.

Brooke Vowcheck (Peters Township, Pa./Peters Township) finished in fourth place with a two-round score of 164. Senior captains
MacKenzie Schmeltz (Edwardsburg, Mich./Saint Joseph) and
Megan Joyce (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands) both finished tied for seventh and a score of 167.
Tournament Highlights
Top Team: Ohio Northern shot a hole in one today and won the tournament by nine shots. The Polar Bears had a combined score of 657 and shot nine over par as a team.
Top Individual: Marisa Alfes from Ohio Northern led wire to wire and won the event with a total score of 153.
Up Next: The Presidents return next week when they head to Warren, Ohio, for the Presidents' Athletic Conference Fall Championships. This two-day event will take place on Monday (Oct. 13) and Tuesday (Oct. 14).
