BOARDMAN, Ohio – The Washington & Jefferson College women's golf team mounted a comeback during the spring portion of the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships to win its 10
th conference championship. The team shot a combined 649 through the final two rounds en route to their first PAC Championship since 2016.
The Presidents snapped a seven-year streak of conference championship victories by the Westminster Titans who finished in second place this season. The Presidents erased a 15-shot lead from the Titans following the fall rounds, winning the conference championship by 11 strokes. W&J Head Coach
Matt Kluck was named the PAC Women's Golf Coach of the Year, marking his second time he has received the award on the women's side.

Top W&J Individual: Megan Joyce (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands) remained W&J's top golfer through the final rounds of the conference championships. The senior shot 159 through the final two rounds, a six-shot improvement from the fall championships. The senior finished her fourth conference tournament in a tie for second place with Madison Sharek of Geneva. Joyce was named an All-PAC First Team selection.
Notables: MacKenzie Schmeltz (Edwardsburg, Mich./Saint Joseph) finished in the top five along with Joyce, taking sole possession of fifth place. Schmeltz shot a 329 throughout the four rounds of the conference tournament, posting a nine-shot improvement during the spring. Schmeltz was also named to the All-PAC First Team.
Julia Barthelemy (Crescent, Pa./Moon Area) and
Antolena Damico (Irwin, Pa./Penn Trafford) each finished in the top ten to earn All-PAC Second Team honors.
Tournament Highlights
Top Individual: Katie Rose Rankin of Westminster won the 2025-26 PAC Championships. Rose Rankin shot a 312 through all four rounds of golf, finishing 11 shots off the next best golfers.
Up Next: With the conference crown, W&J earned the PAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship for the first time since the 2015-16 season. This year's event will be held May 19-22 at Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, California.
