FRISCO, Texas - Five members of the Washington & Jefferson College women's golf team earned recognition from the Women's Golf Coaches Association on Monday (July 13), when the organization announced its All-American Scholars for 2025-26.
 
Megan Joyce (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands), Julia Barthelemy (Crescent, Pa./Moon Area), Antolena Damico (Irwin, Pa./Penn Trafford), MacKenzie Schmeltz (Edwardsburg, Mich./Saint Joseph) and Lauren Tekely (Glendale, W.Va./John Marshall) represented W&J as All-American Scholars. Joyce, Barthelemy, Damico and Schmeltz were all named All-Presidents' Athletic Conference Selections following the 2025-26 season. All five golfers competed in the Presidents' appearance at the NCAA Division III Tournament, finishing 30th. Throughout the season, the team won five invitationals which the most in recorded history since 2013.
 
The 2025-26 WGCA All-American Scholar Teams feature 1,551 women's collegiate golfers were recognized with the prestigious honor.
 
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of our players.
 
To be selected, a student-athlete must:
 
• Have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
• Be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season.
• Have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.
