TRAFFORD, Pa. – Washington & Jefferson College senior running back
Kobe Derosa (New Castle, Pa./Laurel) has been awarded the Presidents' Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday (Oct. 6).
With four total touchdowns, Derosa powered the Presidents' offense through the ground and passing game in a 70-13 victory over Hiram. Derosa hauled in a 33-yard receiving touchdown which broke a 7-7 tie and gave W&J the lead for good. The senior also led the way with three rushing touchdowns (14/2/1) on nine carries for 61 yards. Three of his four touchdowns on the day occurred in the first half and his final score came on the opening drive of the second half.
The W&J football team returns to the gridiron this coming Saturday (Oct. 11) for the college's homecoming weekend game against the Westminster Titans. Opening kickoff is set for a 2:05 start.
