MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Washington & Jefferson College graduate guard Riley DeRubbo (Washington, Pa./Trinity) has been named to the first D3hoops.com Team of the Week of the season as announced by the organization on Tuesday (11/18). This is the first time since 2020 that a President has received this selection.
 
DeRubbo led the way during a 3-0 week for the Presidents, averaging 20 points and seven rebounds per game as W&J beat Penn State Behrend, Ohio Northern, and Mount Union during their opening week of play. Highlighting the week was a 24-point performance in a road win at Penn State Behrend.

DeRubbo scored a team-high 19 points and drained the decisive three-pointer in the final minute of a narrow 66-65 win over Mount Union. She converted 49% from the field, 63% from three-point range, and 94% from the line last week. 
 
After recording three wins in their opening week of competition, the Presidents hit the road next weekend for a pair of non-conference games. W&J heads to Ohio to take part in the 39th annual Jim Meagle Classic hosted by Marietta College. The Presidents face host Marietta on Friday (Nov. 21) and seventh-ranked Cortland on Saturday (Nov. 22).
