YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Washington & Jefferson College track & field teams wrapped action at the 2025 Indoor Presidents' Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships this evening. The W&J men finished in third place while the W&J women took eighth.
 
Senior Brock Pennington (North East, Pa./North East) led the way for the Presidents with two individual PAC titles. Pennington placed first in both the 3,000-meter run and the 5,000-meter run with respective time of 8:58.29 and 15:32.38. Teammate Dominic Flitcraft (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) finished right behind Pennington in the 3,000 and 5,000 meter with respective times of 8:58.38 and 15:32.41.
 
The men's distance medley relay team consisting of Flitcraft, Anthony Cestaro III (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers), Julian Paul (Pittsburgh, Pa./Montour) and Pennington also gained W&J a PAC Title  and a conference record time with their first-place finish and time of 10:32.15.
 
Paul logged a productive day on the track with two top-three finishes. The senior placed second in the 1-mile run with a time of 4:17.37. He also finished third in the 800-meter run with a school-record time of 1:54.87.
 
Cestaro III tacked on two top-three finishes as well a the conference championships, smashing both of his school records. The junior sprinter's highest finish came in the 200-meter dash with a second-place finish and school record time of 21.87. In the 60-meter dash, Cestaro III finished third with a school-record time of 6.94.
 
Alex Maslo (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) and Hayden O'Bryon (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) each registered fourth place finishes in the jump events. Maslo finished fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 13.12 meters while O'Bryon took fourth in the long jump with a best jump of 6.22 meters.
 
Nick DeSanto (Erie, Pa./McDowell) rounded out the men's top finishers with a tie for sixth in the high jump with a height of J1.83 meters.
Sarah Schneider (Warren, Ohio/Lordstown) led the W&J women with a second-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles. Her time of 9.35 led the Presidents' women on the day. Her best jump in the long jump placed her eighth with a distance of 4.97 meters.
 
The distance medley relay team consisting of Cali LaRue (Pittsburgh, Pa./Montour), Lainey Hartner (Washington, Pa./Fort Cherry), Chloe LoCastro (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) and Maria Gilles (North Ridgeville, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy) took fifth with a time of 13:20.07.
 
Maria Gilles (North Ridgeville, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy) led the women in he distance events with a seventh-place finish in the mile run and time of 5:18.59.
 
Rylee Miller (West Mifflin, Pa./West Mifflin) closed out the top finishers for the W&J women with a tie for ninth-place in the high jump with a best jump of 1.43 meters.
 
The Presidents resume their indoor season on Friday (March 7) at the ONU Final Qualifier.
