Bellamkonda, Pulicherla, Humphrey Named to CSC Academic All-District Teams

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Three Washington & Jefferson college tennis student-athletes were recognized on the 2023 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Teams, as selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
 
Srivatsa Bellamkonda (Sewickley, Pa./North Allegheny) of the W&J men's tennis team was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team for the first time. Nidhi Pulicherla (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton) and Emma Humphrey (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) each represented the W&J women's tennis team on CSC Academic All-District for the second time together.
 
Bellamkonda, an All-Presidents' Athletic Conference Honorable Mention, holds a 3.83 cumulative grade-point average while majoring in Neuroscience. The sophomore netman arose as one of the Presidents top contributors in their 2025 campaign. Despite missing a few matches, Bellamkonda managed to put together a 5-7 record in singles play with a 3-4 mark in conference. He also finished with an overall 9-8 record in doubles play.
 
Pulicherla earns her second CSC Academic All-District honor with a 3.95 GPA as a Biochemistry major. She is a three-time member of the PAC Academic Fall Honor Roll. On the court, Pulicherla finished her career as a four-year All-PAC selection. She finishes her career at W&J as a four-time All-PAC First Team recipient (Singles/Doubles), three-time All-PAC Second Team selection (No. 1 doubles) and a four-time PAC All-Tournament honoree.
 
Humphrey added her second CSC All-District honor this year with a 4.00 GPA as a Communication Arts major with a public relations emphasis. She is a four-time member of the PAC Academic Fall Honor Roll. This past season, Humphrey finished the season as an All-PAC Honorable Mention at No. 5 singles. She also was named to the PAC Sportsmanship Team in 2025.  
 
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 3, 2025 (women) and June 4, 2025 (men). To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must be a starter or important contributor of at least sophomore athletic eligibility and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. Student-athletes are nominated by their institution with voting for Academic All-America conducted by athletic communication professionals from across the U.S.
