Allen Highlights Presidents’ Representation on 2025 Softball All-PAC Teams

TRAFFORD, Pa. – Washington and Jefferson College softball earned four All-Presidents' Athletic Conference selections following their 2025 campaign.
 
The 2025 All-PAC teams and award winners are determined by a vote of the 11 head coaches from the conference. 
 
Hannah Allen (Harrison City, Pa./Penn Trafford) achieved First Team honors while Kyra Blauth (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) and Sydney VanNess (Warren, Ohio/Howland) earned Second Team honors. Freshman Maddie Luxenberger (Montoursville, Pa./Loyalsock Township) was recognized as an honorable mention.
 
Allen picks up her first All-PAC honor following her junior season. Allen racked up a team-high 50 hits this season and led the Presidents in several categories including batting average (.459), home runs (3), RBIs (28), slugging percentage (.725) and on base percentage (.487). Allen led the PAC in OPS (1.212) and doubles (18).
 
Allen landed on the Division III Top 50 Leaderboard in three categories. Allen currently holds third in the ranks for doubles per game with a 0.58 mark. Allen finished the season tied for sixth in doubles. Defensively, Allen finished 16th in all Division III in assists per game.
 
Blauth adds another conference honor, this time as an All-PAC Second Team selection. Blauth ended the season with a .374 batting average and .977 OPS. Blauth tallied 34 hits including six doubles, two home runs, 19 RBIs and 26 runs scored. Her 26 runs scored were a team best. The junior slugger compiled 13 multi-hit games. Blauth is tied for seventh in OBP with a season mark of .472 in the PAC.
 
VanNess registers her first All-PAC team selection following her freshman season. VanNess served as a designated this past season. She ended the season with a .388 batting average (15th in the PAC) and .886 OPS. VanNess had 26 hits, four doubles, 10 RBIs and 17 runs scored. The freshman had four three-hit games.
 
Freshman catcher Luxenberger was an honorable mention registering a .343 batting average with seven steals (7-for-7) and a .991 fielding percentage (Tied for ninth in the PAC). Luxenberger caught nine baserunners stealing to lead the conference this season. The freshman catcher finished tied for third on the team in hits (34), tied for third in RBIs (16) and fourth in total bases (36).
 
Senior catcher and outfielder Aliya Schraeder (McDonald, Pa./South Fayette) represented W&J on the PAC Sportsmanship Team. Schraeder joined the 100-career hit club in her senior season.
