GREENWOOD, Ind. – Four Washington & Jefferson College softball student-athletes were recognized on the 2025 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Earning the recognition for both their academic and athletic dexterity were Senior outfielders
Kyra Blauth (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) and
Aliya Schraeder (McDonald, Pa./South Fayette), Sophomore second baseman
Mirranda Rinehart (Washington, Pa./Trinity) and sophomore right-handed pitcher
Taylor Dunn (Washington, Pa./Trinity).
Blauth finished her time at W&J with a 3.63 cumulative grade-point average as a political science major. She started all 30 games she appeared in this season and was named to the All-Presidents' Athletic Conference Second Team. At the plate she racked up 34 hits, six of which were doubles and two home runs. Blauth was second in RBIs on the team with 19 and scored the most runs of the season for the Presidents, crossing the plate 24 times with a .977 OPS. She recorded a .374 batting average this season increasing her career batting average to .345 which ranks her 12th all-time at W&J. The junior slugger compiled 13 multi-hit games. Blauth is tied for seventh in OBP with a season mark of .472 in the PAC.
Schraeder finishes her time at W&J with a 3.98 cumulative GPA, majoring in history. Schraeder finished her senior season with a .336 batting average and career with a .324 cumulative batting average in 110 appearances with 106 starts. Schraeder tallied 11 doubles, 39 RBIs and joined the hundred hits club racking up 116 in her collegiate career. In the field Schraeder finished this past season with a .917 fielding percentage and two assists. Schraeder has represented W&J on as an Honorable Mention and on the PAC Sportsmanship team in her career.
Dunn holds a 4.0 cumulative GPA as a psychology major following her sophomore campaign. She contributed a career-high 90.0 innings pitched (10
th in the PAC) this season for the Presidents with a 7-6 record. Dunn finished the season with a 4.36 earned run average with 36 strikeouts. Dunn pitched seven complete games, six of which were wins. The sophomore hurler pitched her first career complete game shutout this season in a 4-0 victory against Carlow.
Rinehart boasts a 3.88 cumulative GPA following her sophomore season as an accounting major. She started all 32 games she appeared in this spring at second base. Rinehart compiled a career best .343 batting average in 102 at-bats with eight doubles and 13 RBIs. In the midst of April, Rinehart was tied for eighth in the nation in the hit by pitch category. Over the season Rinehart was walked on 10 hit by pitches, leading the conference in the category.
