TRAFFORD, Pa. – Washington & Jefferson College women's golfers Julia Barthelemy (Crescent, Pa./Moon Area) and Brooke Vowcheck (Peters Township, Pa./Peters Township) have been named the Presidents' Athletic Conference Golfer and Newcomer of the Week, announced by the conference Tuesday (Sept. 16). 

Barthelemy topped the W&J golfers by finishing in a tie for seventh place with a 156 through two rounds at the Heidelberg Invitational. After scoring 80 to open play, Barthelemy shot a weekend-low 76 in Saturday's second round to move up eight places on the leaderboard into the top ten for the event. 

Vowcheck helped the Presidents finish fifth out of 16 teams at the Heidelberg Invitational by scoring back-to-back rounds of 86 for a final score of 172. This is the second time this season that Vowcheck has been selected for this award. 

The Presidents return to the course after a one-week break on Saturday (Sept. 27) at the Franciscan Fall Invitational. Golfers are scheduled to tee-off at 1:30 p.m.
