W&J Announces Athletic Department Interns for 2025-26

WASHINGTON, PA. – The Washington & Jefferson College athletic department is proud to announce its 2025-26 interns. 
 
The 2025-26 interns include: Alec Beaudin (Intern Assistant Sports Information Director), Anthony Rosati (Intern Assistant Football Coach), Jacob Pugh (Intern Assistant Football Coach), Owen Petrisek (Intern Assistant Football Coach), Noel Diaz (Intern Assistant Men's Soccer Coach) and Delaney Baker (Intern Assistant Volleyball Coach).
 
"We welcome our new athletic interns and we look forward to integrating them into our department. Coach Diaz did a great job last year and we are happy to have him back for a second season," stated Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Athletics Scott McGuinness. "Since the athletic intern program started at W&J in the early 2000s, we've have over 40 former interns become head coaches at various levels in Division III, a few of which have become athletic directors or conference commissioners.  I credit our head coaches for supporting the interns with real-life coaching experiences to help their development as professionals."
 
Alec Beaudin - Intern Assistant Sports Information Director
Alec Beaudin joins the W&J Department of Athletics as its Intern Assistant Sports Information Director for the 2025-26 academic year.
 
Beaudin recently earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in data analytics (economic concentration) from Denison University. Beaudin held work study positions in Admissions and Athletics at Denison. He earned Student Employee of the Year honors in the Spring of 2022.
 
"I am honored to jump into a sports information position at such a historic college that takes pride in their athletics," said Beaudin. "I look forward to reuniting with Assistant Director of Athletics for Operations Aaron Thompson, applying the skills I gained working as a student worker at another Division III college, and learning more from my experienced colleagues. I will work hard to assist the department in ensuring each student athlete has a positive experience during their time at W&J."
 
Beaudin worked extensively with the Athletics Communications office at Denison for all four years during his undergraduate studies. He worked with the full-time staff to provide real-time statistics for 22 teams, processing information provided by colleagues into NCAA LiveStats software to ensure the accuracy of statistics for coaching staffs and the NCAA.
 
He also assisted with gameday operations in duties as a public address announcer and worked with Production Truck software to ensure quality broadcast for the Denison Sports Network (DSN). During the spring 2025 semester, Beaudin worked extensively with the Big Red's coverage of the men's tennis team, who went on to capture the Division III National Championship in May.
 
Beaudin has also worked with Bowdoin College, the USTA New England and the Cincinnati Open.
 
Anthony Rosati - Intern Assistant Football Coach
A former student-athlete for the Presidents, Anthony Rosati '24 joined the staff in January of 2024 as an Intern Assistant Coach for the W&J football program.
 
"I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity that Coach Sirianni and Scott McGuinness gave me to continue with the W&J Football program, this time in a new role," said Rosati. "W&J has had a major impact on me as a player, and I'm excited to give back to the program that has shaped me both on and off the field."
 
Rosati wrapped his career with the W&J offense racking up 111 receptions for 1325 yards. The shifty wide receiver scored eight touchdowns in his time in 39 games played. In 2023, he was honored as an All-Presidents' Athletic Conference Honorable Mention selection.
 
Rosati was also a two-year member of the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society.
 
Jacob Pugh - Intern Assistant Football Coach
Jacob Pugh '25 enters his first season as the Intern Assistant Coach for the W&J football program in 2025-26.
 
No stranger to W&J, Pugh returns to the Presidents after recently graduating Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
 
"Thank you to Coach Sirianni for the opportunity to return to W&J and begin my hopeful career in coaching," said Pugh. "I am grateful to be a President again for another year, excited for the chance to be a part of another PAC Championship!"
 
Pugh put together a standout career over the last four years, helping to lead the Presidents to a share of the 2024 PAC Football title and a spot in the NCAA Division III Playoffs. Among all D-III players, Pugh ranked third in points responsible per game (24.7), fifth in passing yards (3,288), seventh in passing touchdowns (40), eighth in total offense (312.7) and 13th in passing efficiency (178.3) in 2024. Pugh accounted for 108 career touchdowns over his career. His 93 passing touchdowns rank fourth in program history. He concluded his career ranked fifth in program history with 7,668 career passing yards and put together a 27-6 record during his three seasons as a full-time starter.
 
Pugh was announced as one of 18 semifinalists for the 2024 Gagliardi Trophy, an award presented to the most outstanding football player in NCAA Division III. Pugh earned PAC Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2023 & 2024, finishing his career as a three-time All-PAC honoree, earning First Team honors the past two seasons. Academically, Pugh was named to the CSC Academic All-District team in 2022, 2023 and 2024. Pugh has made the PAC Fall Academic Honor Roll twice and was listed on the National Football Foundation's Hampshire Honor Society. Pugh additionally volunteered time with the W&J Football camps and youth camps.
 
Owen Petrisek - Intern Assistant Football Coach
Owen Petrisek '25 enters his first season as the Intern Assistant Coach for the W&J football program in 2025-26.
 
"I'm excited to be back with the W&J Football program," said Petrisek. Growing up in Washington and playing here makes this opportunity really special for me, and I'm grateful to Coach Sirianni and the staff for the chance to help the team work toward another PAC Championship."
 
Like his fellow former teammates turned coworkers, Petrisek is a former W&J Football player. Petrisek recently graduated Cum Laude this past spring. He also received The William M. and Saundra Stout Endowed Prize Fund in Education.
 
On the gridiron, Petrisek put together a productive four seasons on the ground for the Presidents. Petrisek rushed for 1,170 yards with eight rushing touchdowns in his collegiate career with the Presidents. His senior season, he aided in the Presidents winning their 27th Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship and their 27th trip to the NCAA Playoffs.
 
In 2024, he was named to the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society and the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® team.
 
Noel Diaz - Intern Assistant Men's Soccer Coach
Noel Diaz enters his second season after joining the men's soccer program as its Intern Assistant Coach in the Fall of 2024.
 
"I'm excited to return for my second year with the program and would like to express my sincere gratitude to Coach McDonald, Athletic Director Scott McGuinness along with the rest of the coaching staff for their continued support and making my transition to W&J such a smooth one," said Diaz. "This season, we have a strong blend of experienced leadership and emerging young talent, and we're looking forward to making a serious push for the PAC Championship."
 
In his first year as assistant, the Presidents powered their way to a 7-11-1 overall record (4-5-1 PAC), creating a Presidents' Athletic Conference Tournament berth.
 
Diaz was a two-year member of the team at Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland. Diaz played three different positions, Right Back, Center Defensive Midfield, and Outside Midfield. He started in 11 of the 34 games he appeared in and scored a goal while tallying seven assists during his time with the Dragons. The Dragons won a regional title both years Diaz attended.
 
Diaz then attended Paul Smith's College in Brighton, New York where he started all 26 games in the two years he attended. He won YSCC All-Conference First Team Honors and USCAA D2 First Team All American Honors. He Scored 9 goals and had 3 assists while going 4 for 4 from the penalty spot.
 
He spent this last spring as the interim Head Coach at Paul Smith's College while earning his bachelor's degree in business management with a concentration in Sports Management.
 
Delaney Baker - Intern Assistant Volleyball Coach
Delaney Baker enters her first season as the Intern Assistant Coach for the W&J Women's Volleyball program in 2025-26.
 
"I'm super excited to step into my first year with the women's volleyball program here at W&J! In my first month here I have had the chance to learn from the coaching staff, connect with our student-athletes, and gain first-hand insight into coaching at the collegiate level," said Baker. "I am especially grateful to Coach Llewellyn and Athletic Director Scott McGuinness for trusting me with this opportunity and for their mentorship as I continue to grow!"
 
Baker comes to W&J after working as a coach for Carolina Juniors Volleyball. There she taught players key fundamentals of the game, provided instruction during practice, game and match settings and set up practice plans and game schedules. Baker also coached various skills clinics players ages 10-17 during this time.
 
Baker recently earned her bachelor degree in sports, exercise and performance psychology with a minor in sports coaching from West Virginia University. Baker worked with the WVU Football program in their recruiting department. She is currently continuing her school work at WVU, working towards a master's degree in sports management.
 
A native of Concord, N.C., Baker graduated from West Cabarras High School in 2023.
