TRAFFORD, Pa. – Washington & Jefferson College senior
Josh Dezenzo (Alliance, Ohio/Marlington) was selected as the Presidents' Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week for the second consecutive week, announced by the conference on Monday (April 6).
Dezenzo propelled the Presidents to another conference sweep to remain undefeated in PAC play. He finished the week going 9-for-12 (.750) at the plate with a 1.667 slugging percentage and a .769 on base percentage. He also mashed three homers, two doubles and had nine RBIs. In the opening game of the week against Muskingum, Dezenzo was 2-for-3 at the plate with one double.
In game one of the doubleheader sweep over Allegheny, the senior went 3-for-5 (.600) with a two-run home run and a double. In the nightcap, Dezenzo bashed two more homers while finishing a perfect 4-for-4 with seven RBIs and a walk.
W&J returns to the diamond on Wednesday (April 8) when the team travels to take on the Westminster Titans for a PAC doubleheader. First pitch in game one from New Wilmington is slated for 1:00 p.m.
