KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Washington & Jefferson College men's soccer team received recognition from the United Soccer Coaches for a eighth-consecutive year and ninth time in the past 10 years due to the squad's exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year.
 
The United Soccer Coaches announced on Friday (Aug. 7) the College Team Academic Award winners, recognizing performances in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year. The Presidents, who finished with a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.35, were among 326 collegiate men's teams to earn the 2025-26 United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award. W&J was one of 175 schools to have both its men's and women's programs recognized with team honors by the United Soccer Coaches.
 
The Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade-point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster for the 2025-26 academic year. United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
 
The men's soccer program placed 13 student-athletes on the 2025 PAC Fall Academic Honor Roll list with at least a 3.60 grade-point average.
 
W&J opens the 2026 regular season on the road at Pitt-Greensburg on Tuesday (Sept. 2). The season opener is set for a 4:00 p.m. start.
