Men’s Golf Wraps Play at the Toftrees Invitational

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson College men's golf team concluded  action at the Toftrees Invitational in 15th place as a team. The team totaled a 615 score after two rounds of play.
 
The Basics
Tournament: Toftrees Invitational
Location: State College, Pa. / Toftrees Golf Resort
W&J: 15 out of 16
 
Top W&J Individual: Davis Kittsley (Fox Chapel, Pa./Fox Chapel) and Aftab Bakshi (New Delhi, India/Modern School Barakhamba Road) tied for the Presidents' top men's golfer following the invitational. Each golfer finished in 25th place with a tournament score of 149 through 36 holes.
 
Notables: Kabir Nath (Gurgaon, India/Laurel Springs School) finished in a tie for 35th place as an independent. The freshman finished one shot off of W&J's top golfers with a 150 on the weekend.
 
Tournament Highlights
Top Team: John Carroll finished as the top team after two rounds of golf and maintaining their lead. The Blue Streaks shot a combined 562 as a team with four golfers in the top 10.
 
Top Individual: Charlie Wilkerson of Randolph-Macon finished as the top golfer at the Toftrees Invitational. Wilkerson shot a 134 through 36 holes to finish 10 under par.
 
Up Next: Men's Golf returns to action on Monday (Sept. 28) to compete in the Grove City Invitational.
