GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson College men's golf team wrapped competition at the annual Grove City Invitational. The team shot a 308 as a collective on the day to finish third, one shot behind second-place Saint Vincent.

W&J: 3rd out of 18
Top W&J Individual: Aftab Bakshi (New Delhi, India/Modern School Barakhamba Road) and
Davis Kittsley (Fox Chapel, Pa./Fox Chapel) both shot a 75 through 18 holes of golf in Grove City. Both golfers tied with two other golfers from Marietta and Grove City. Kittsley shot four birdies, three coming in the back nine. Bakshi finished with one birdie on the day on hole one.
Notables: Kabir Nath (Gurgaon, India/Laurel Springs School) finished as the next best golfer for the Presidents, securing a tie for 16
th with 11 other competitors. The freshman had a 78 on the day and shot two birdies on the back nine.
Ryan Steigerwald (Wexford, Pa./Mars Area) rounded out the top finishers for the Presidents, finishing in a tie for 34
th with an 80 through 18 holes.
Tournament Highlights
Top Team: The host Grove City Wolverines finished as the champions of the Grove City Invitational, shooting a 296 on the day to finish eight over par. Saint Vincent and W&J finished 19 and 20 shots behind, respectively.
Top Individual: Nathan Young of Grove City won the 2026 Grove City Invitational after finishing with a field-low 70 through 18 holes. Matthew Edwards of Saint Vincent finished behind the top golfer, shooting for par on the day.
Up Next: Men's Golf returns to action on Sunday (Oct. 4) to compete in the Red Wolves Invitational hosted by Saint Francis. The 36-hole event will span two days at the Sunnehanna Country Club.
