How it Happened: Washington & Jefferson closed out the Gary Troyer Memorial Tournament with a 14-6 loss at Pomona-Pitzer, the No. 5-ranked team in the Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III Top 10 poll. The Presidents opened the scoring and later tied the game at 2-2, but five consecutive scores by the Sagehens opened up a 7-2 deficit W&J could not overcome.
Top Performers: Nick Willison scored a game-high four goals, including three in the third quarter alone, to pace W&J.
The Rest: Collin Higgins and
Tyler Willison each scored goals in the first quarter and
Mac Hennessy tallied five blocks.
What's Next: The Presidents will play their final match in on the west coast with a 9:00 a.m./12:00 p.m. Eastern start at No. 15/Division III No. 1 Whittier.
