Weather sparks weekend athletics schedule changes

WASHINGTON, Pa. -- With inclement weather expected across the region this weekend, the Washington & Jefferson athletics department has had to make some schedule changes.

BASEBALL
- Instead of a doubleheader at Marietta on Sunday, April 10th, the Presidents will now HOST Point Park in a doubleheader on Sunday at Ross Memorial Park. First pitch is slated for 2 p.m.

SOFTBALL
- Saturday's doubleheader against Presidents' Athletic Conference foe Geneva has been postponed until Thursday, April 14 at 3:30 p.m.
- Sunday's nonconference doubleheader against Marietta at Brooks Park is still slated for a 2 p.m. first pitch as of Friday afternoon. **UPDATE** This DH has now been postponed.

MEN'S LACROSSE
- Ohio River Lacrosse Conference action for Saturday against Thiel has been postponed a day to Sunday, April 10 at 12:00 p.m.

MEN'S TENNIS
- Thursday's PAC match against Thiel that was postponed to Friday, April 8 at 4:30 p.m. will still be played at the Janet Swanson Tennis Center.
- Saturday's PAC match against Thomas More has been moved indoors to the Peters Township Tennis Center and is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. now.

TRACK & FIELD
- With weather pushing back the date of Saturday's Mount Union Invitational to Sunday, the Presidents will instead travel to Glenville State (W.Va.) on Friday, April 8.

WOMEN'S WATER POLO
- With the changes to Saturday's home games, W&J will now be able to stream BOTH of this weekend's matches (Friday night at 7:30 p.m. versus Grove City and Saturday morning at 11 a.m. against Penn State Behrend). Those matches can be viewed at gopresidents.com/watch

MEN'S GOLF
- The Edward Jones Shootout, hosted by Carnegie Mellon, has been postponed to am 8:30 a.m. start on Sunday, April 10. They will try to play all 36 holes on Sunday, weather permitting.
