How it Happened: The Washington & Jefferson men's water polo team began play in the College Water Polo Association Division III Eastern Championship on Saturday with a 13-3 loss to Johns Hopkins.

Top Performers: Ian Geister (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) scored twice for the Presidents, once in the second quarter and once in the fourth quarter, on four shots to go along with a steal.

The Rest: Ethan Moy (New York, N.Y./Math, Science, Engineering at City College) tallied the other goal for the W&J offense, a third-quarter strike which was one of two shots Moy took in the game.
Tyler Francis (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) added an assist on Geister's goal and shot once.
Mac Hennessy (Blue Bell, Pa./Wissahickon) played all game as the Presidents' goalie and made four saves.

How it Happened: In its second game of the day, W&J fell to Connecticut College by a score of 13-6.

Top Performers: Geister added another two goals to his weekend tally, both coming in the third quarter, on seven shots with one steal.

The Rest: Troy Smith (San Marcos, Calif./San Marcos),
Chonghwi Yoon (Seoul, South Korea/Pennington School (N.J.)),
Nick Spehar (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) and
Dylan Gwinn (Baltimore, Md./Mount St. Joseph) all scored one goal to wrap up the scoring for the Presidents on the first day of the tournament. Smith, Moy and Spehar also each tallied an assist. Hennessy made 16 saves in goal for the Presidents in 32 minutes of action.
