WASHINGTON, Pa -- Both of Washington & Jefferson College's swimming & diving squads earned non-conference victories over Pitt-Bradford on Saturday afternoon.
The men defeated the Panthers 91-64 while the women won 63-22.
The Red and Black men had five men's and five women's swimmers with first-place individual efforts.
Sarah Marshall (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) won the 50 yard freestyle in 26.20 and
Isabella Manzari (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) took the 100 freestyle title (58.97).
Kimber Randolph (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) had the top time in the 200 yard backstroke (2:27.37) while Kate McKiernan (Columbus, N.J./Pennington) won the 200 IM (2:49.24).
Mark Nikitine (Easton, Pa./Wilson Area) won the 200 yard IM, completing the medley in 2:11.31.
Dean Kralic (Beaver Falls, Pa./Riverside) grabbed nine points in the 200 backstroke with a 2:09.58, and
Andrew Ivory (Gibsonia, Pa./Mars) claimed the meet title in the 200 breaststroke (2:30.99).
Nick Belofsky (Aurora, Ohio/Aurora) took first in the 100 yard freestyle at 52.12.
Colin Higinbotham (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) won the 50 free in 23.11.
In the relays, Kralic, Ivory, Higinbotham and Belofsky won the 400 medley (3:56.69) and
Alex Lee (Los Angeles, Calif./Eagle Rock) combined with Kralic, Belofsky and Higinbotham to win the 200 free relay (1:37.10).
Swimming & diving heads to the Oberlin College Invitational next weekend.
