WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The W&J women's swimming and diving team fell in a Presidents' Athletic Conference dual meet to Saint Vincent by a 183-98 score Saturday afternoon in Henry Memorial Natatorium.
Kimber Randolph (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) and Anja Popey (Ligonier, Pa./Ligonier Valley) were the two seniors honored before the meet on the women's side for their hard work.
Amanda Graves (Irwin, Pa./Penn Trafford) was the lone President to claim multiple first place finishes. Graves won the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.49) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:03.66). She was also a member of the 200-yard medley and freestyle relays that finished as runner-up.
Sydney Neumann (Long Beach, Calif./Millikan) finished the meet with a pair of second place finishes to help tally points for W&J. Neumann touch the wall second in the 100-yard breaststroke with her time of 1:15.47 and the 200-yard breaststroke with her time of 2:51.36.
Taylor Newton (Olyphant, Pa./Scranton Prep) finished second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 6:03.72 and added a third place in the 1000-yard freestyle (12:19.56).
Diver
Taylor Weyrich (McMurray, Pa./Seton LaSalle) remains undefeated in regular dual meets in the 21-22 season. She won the 1-meter Diving with her score of 245.75.
Alexis Griner (Valrico, Fla./Bloomingdale) finished second with her score of 177.50. Weyrich also won the 3-meter Diving with her score of 271.20.
The quartet of
Isabella Manzari (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township), Neumann,
Sarah Marshall (North Wales, Pa./North Penn), and Graves finished the afternoon with a second place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay with their time of 1:46.62.
The Presidents have the rest of December off before returning back to Henry Natatorium on Jan. 15 to host non-PAC competitor Hiram. The meet is scheduled to start at 1 P.M.
