TRAFFORD, Pa. - The Washington & Jefferson College Swimming & Diving team's
Morgan Baughman (West Newton, Pa./Mount Pleasant) and
Amiyah White (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove Area) were named the Presidents' Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer and Newcomer of the Week, announced by the conference Monday (Jan. 13).

Baughman led the Presidents to their first victory in their 2025 opener over Franciscan by winning two individual events and swimming laps in two relay victories. In the individual events, Baughman swept the short-distance freestyle events, placing first in both the 50- and 100-yard freestyle with respective times of 26.82 and 59.06. Baughman also contributed to wins in the 200-yard medley relay (2:04.08) and the 200-yard freestyle (1:49.16) relay, with the 200 free relay time being a season-best for the Presidents.

White helped seal the win for W&J over Franciscan in their first showing of 2025. She won the 1-meter dive with a total score of 321.65, the top one-meter score in the PAC this season so far, to contribute nine team points to the Presidents' 144-125 victory over the Barons.

W&J swimming & diving teams return to the pool this coming Saturday (Jan. 18) to face the Allegheny Gators. First event is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
