Barilar, Peticca and Caputi lead the way for Men’s Golf at Saint Vincent

LATROBE, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson College men's golf team had three of the top four finishers at the Saint Vincent Invitational on Tuesday.
 
Garrett Barilar (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) shot a three-over 75 to finish as the runner-up to medalist Jonny Stuckert of Westminster. Stuckert cared a minus-one 71 on the par-72 course at the Latrobe Country Club.
 
Ben Peticca (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) and Juan Caputi (Bogota, Colombia/Colegio Los Nogales) tied for third place at 77 strokes (plus-five) in the 30-golfer field.
 
Dawson Thornton (Mooresville, N.C./Pinelake Prep) tied for 19th at 86 strokes and Sean Adamski (Leechburg, Pa./Kiski Area) tied for 26th at 91 strokes.
 
Westminster took home the team title at 307 strokes. W&J finished eight strokes behind with a team score of 315.
 
W&J returns to action Thursday at Grove City.
