MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- Following his week one performance in a road win over nationally-ranked John Carroll University, Washington & Jefferson College junior defensive back Drew Ehrlich was recognized on D3football.com's Team of the Week, the organization announced Tuesday morning.

Ehrlich posted a game-high 12 tackles during W&J's 21-14 road win over then No. 11 John Carroll. The W&J defense limited the Blue Streaks to 106 total yards and no points during a scoreless first half.

This marks the second time this calendar year that Ehrlich has been honored by D3football.com. He was also named to the Team of the Week on March 30.

W&J (1-0 overall) travels to Thiel College for its Presidents' Athletic Conference opener on Saturday, Sept. 11. Kickoff from Alumni Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m.

The Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, is D3football.com's weekly honor roll, in its 23rd season of recognizing the top performance at each position from the previous week. Players are nominated by schools.
