DANBURY, CONN. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced Monday that the Washington & Jefferson College football team will host Hobart College for the 2022 ECAC Division III Asa S. Bushnell Bowl on Saturday, Nov. 19. The game will be played at Cameron Stadium and kickoff at 12 p.m.

Tickets will be sold on gameday only at the main entrance to the stadium. Cash only admission will be $10 for adults. Children 12 and under will be granted free admissions as well as all W&J staff and students who present their college ID.

W&J enters Saturday's postseason game with an 8-2 overall record and a 6-2 mark in Presidents' Athletic Conference play. Hobart, from Geneva, N.Y., compiled a 7-3 overall mark and a 4-2 record in Liberty League play.

Under the direction of head coach Mike Sirianni, the Presidents have qualified for the postseason in 17 of his 20 seasons. W&J will be making its sixth appearance in an ECAC bowl game. The Presidents previously competed in the ECACs in 2003, 2010, 2016, 2019 and 2021. W&J has compiled a 4-1 mark in ECAC bowl competition. The Presidents beat Wilkes (41-19) in 2003, Franklin & Marshall (54-41) in 2010, Brockport (38-31) in 2016 and Ithaca (20-17) in 2019. W&J fell by a 20-7 score last season at Brockport in the ECAC Clayton Chapman Bowl.

Head to Head Series: The Presidents and Statesmen have matched up just twice in program history. W&J has won both matchups – claiming a 7-0 victory in 1941 before adding a 25-0 victory in Washington in 1942. The ECAC matchup will be the first between the two programs in 80 years.
