ITHACA, N.Y. -- Washington & Jefferson College sophomore diver Taylor Weyrich (McMurray, Pa./Seton-LaSalle) competed in both the 1-Meter and 3-Meter Dives at the 2022 NCAA Division III Region 4 Diving Championships. The two-day event was hosted by Ithaca College at the Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium.

Weyrich totaled 348.05 points during the Friday session to finish 17th in the 1-Meter. Weyrich compiled a score of 360.90 to place 17th in the 3-Meter Saturday.

Two weeks ago, Weyrich earned the PAC's Women's Diver of the Year award and First Team All-PAC honors for the second-straight year. Weyrich prevailed on both the 1-meter board and 3-meter board, finishing with a score of 431.05 points on the one-meter board and a score of 432.75 on the three-meter board. Those totals helped her meet the qualifying standards on both boards for the NCAA Division III Region 4 (Northeast/South) at Ithaca.

"Taylor took another step forward this season by improving her personal best diving scores on 1-meter and 3-meter. She put in the work this season to be able to put herself in the same position at the PAC meet as her first season. She was able to repeat as the PAC 1-meter champ and PAC women's diving MVP," said head coach Matt Rochna. "We were very happy for her being able to also add a PAC gold medal on 3-meter to her accolades. Since last year's NCAA Regionals diving meet that she qualified for was virtual, our staff was very excited to have the opportunity to go to this meet and compete in person this season. We are proud of her 21'-22' season accomplishments and can't wait to get back on the diving boards in the fall for next season to continue progressing forward."
