YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Washington & Jefferson women's track & field program wrapped up the PAC Indoor Championships with a sixth place finish Thursday evening.
Anna Stroup (Port Royal, Pa. / Juniata) secured the only individual title of the day for the Presidents. Stroup registered a school record time of 9.21 to claim the gold in the 60-Meter Hurdles.
Cassie Carr (Girard, Pa./Girard) finished as the runner-up in the Mile Run. Carr posted a time of 5:12.38 but was bested in the event as the top finisher registered a new PAC record. Carr also added a sixth place finish in the 5,000 meter with a time of 18:47.79.
W&J placed two inside the top six of the Long Jump with season-best performances.
Sarah Schneider (Warren, Ohio / Lordstown) and
Jadyn Hartner (Washington, Pa. / Fort Cherry) finished fourth and sixth, respectively. Schneider registered a mark of 5.08 meters (16-08.00) while Hartner had a jump of 4.95 meters (16-03.00). Schneider later added a seventh place effort in the 60-Meter Hurdles at 9.77.
Maria Gilles (North Ridgeville, Ohio / Lake Ridge Academy) placed sixth in the 5:23.86 in the Mile.
Bre Trusler (Daisytown, Pa. / California) logged a seventh-place finish in the 400 Meters. Trusler raced to a time of 1:02.62.
Claire Anderson (Jamestown, Pa. / Jamestown) also contributed to the Presidents overall score as she finished seventh in the 5,000 meter with a time of 18:52.06.
The Presidents also had a great performances in the relays as they posted two top eight finishes to put points on the board for W&J.
In the Women's Distance Medley, the Presidents took third place with a time of 13:07.98. The relay team for the Presidents included

Bre Trusler,
Chloe LoCastro (Venetia, Pa. / Peters Township), and
Cassie Carr.
W&J also finished seventh in the Women's 4x400 Meter Relay with a time of 4:28.59. This relay team for the Presidents included
Anna Stroup,
Jadyn Hartner,
Sarah Schneider, and
Bre Trusler.
Stroup represented W&J on the PAC Sportsmanship Team as she wrapped up her impressive day in Youngstown, Ohio.
