MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Washington & Jefferson women's track & field team finished tied for sixth in the team standings after the conclusion of competition Friday at the 2023 Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships.
The two-day event was held at the Track & Field Complex at Mylan Park for a third-straight year.
Cassie Carr (Girard, Pa./Girard) placed second in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a personal-best time of 11:31.70.
Claire Anderson (Jamestown, Pa./Jamestown) placed third in the 1500 Meters with a time of 4:47.38. Anderson was seventh in the 800 Meters with a time of 2:27.29.
Jadyn Hartner (Washington, Pa./Fort Cherry) placed fourth in the 400 Meter Hurdles. Hartner posted a season-best time of 1:07.56 in the event. Hartner also finished seventh in the Long Jump with a mark of 4.77 meters (15-07.75).
Anna Stroup (Port Royal, Pa./Juniata) raced to a fourth-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.64.
Bre Trusler (Daisytown, Pa./California) posted a fifth-place effort in the 400 Meters. Trusler compiled a time of 1:01.91.
The women's 4x100 relay unit finished fifth. The group of Hartner, Stroup,
Kiyanna Dowling (York, Pa./York Suburban) and Trusler compiled a season-best time of 52.04.
Stroup, Hartner, Anderson and Trusler finished with a time of 4:19.35 to place sixth in the 4x400 relay.
Trusler represented W&J on the PAC Sportsmanship Team.
