Golf schedules unveiled for fall season

WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson College men's and women's golf teams recently released the schedules for the 2023 fall season.

The men's team will open the fall season for a second-straight season at the Gauntlet Invitational. The two-day event will take place Sept. 10-11 in Harrisburg, Pa. at the Daughin Highlands Golf Course.

W&J will make its annual trip to Meadville to compete in the Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Invitational. The annual 36-hole event will take place at The Country Club of Meadville on Sept. 24-25.

The Presidents then travel to Williamsport for a two-day event on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. The Division III Northeast Elite event will be contested at Williamsport Country Club.

W&J takes part in the annual Westminster Fall Invitational on Oct. 9. The 18-hole event will take place in New Castle at the Avalon Field Club.

On the women's side, W&J opens the 2023-24 season at the Heidelberg Invitational. The 36-hole event will be held at Fostoria Country Club in Ohio on Sept. 16-17.

Like their counterparts, the W&J women will also compete in the Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Invitational on Sept. 24-25 at The Country Club of Meadville.

The women's squad will head to New Castle for the Westminster Invitational at the Avalon Field Club on Oct. 6.

Both teams wrap up the fall season by competing in the PAC Fall Championships in Warren, Ohio. Teams will complete the 36-hole fall portion of the event on Oct. 16-17.

Under the direction of head coach Matt Kluck, W&J looks to continue its run as a successful program in the Presidents' Athletic Conference. The W&J men captured its 21st conference title in program history this past April when it rallied back from a 13-shot deficit over the final 18 holes of play. The Presidents' women's team finished as PAC runner-up for the second-straight year and the fourth time in the past five seasons.
