WILLOUGHBY HILLS, Ohio – The W&J women's golf team finished in fourth place at the JCU Fall Invitational. The team shot an amassed 679 (+103), finishing five strokes away from third place Westminster.

Top W&J Individual: MacKenzie Schmeltz (Edwardsburg, Mich./Saint Joseph) remained the Presidents top golfer on the final day of the invite. Schmeltz finished in seveth place with a weekend score of 162 (+18), after a round two score of 84 (+12).
Notables: Megan Joyce (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands) jumped to the Presidents second-best finisher after a round two score of 81 (+9) to place tied for ninth. Senior
Dinah Bailey (Baden, Pa./Ambridge) dropped to the Presidents third-best golfer overall, with a round two score of 91 (+19), placing 22nd.
Lauren Tekely (Glendale, W.Va./John Marshall) elevated her weekend score to 179 (+35) after a 13-stroke improvement in round two, having shot an 83 (+11) to finish tied for 30th. Rounding out the Presidents top five golfers is
Abby Tikey (Connellsville, Pa./Connellsville), who finished the final round of golf with a 104 (+32), moving her weekend total to 208 (+64) in a tie for 53rd.
Tournament Highlights
Top Team: DePauw edged Ashland for the JCU Fall Invitational title through a fifth-woman tiebreaker. Both teams finished with a team score of 640 (+64) over the course of the weekend.
Top Individual: Becky Williams of DePauw slotted into the top spot to win the JCU Fall Invitational crown with a total weekend score of 145 (+1). Williams bested Sammi Miller of Ashland by six strokes.
